Old Louisville now has a new bed and breakfast: the Old Louisville Fleur de Lis B&B at 1470 S. Third. For the past ten years, John and Sharon Dills and their daughter Laura, along with previous owners, have working diligently on renovations to the 1897 house, and now it’s finally ready. The Fleur de Lis has four guest rooms with en suite bathrooms, off-street parking, and a commercial elevator with ground-level entry. Guests can enjoy furnishings from around the world and a gourmet Southern breakfast every morning.
“Opening the Old Louisville Fleur de Lis Bed & Breakfast is a family affair,” notes Sharon Dills. “John and I have overseen all of the extensive renovations, and Laura, who has worked all over the world, has found unique furnishings and décor from India, Kenya, Madagascar, Haiti and other countries.”
For the grand opening, they’re offering a 25% discount to the first ten reservations made for 2017 (excluding art show weekend and special packages). For the rest of the year it will offer a 10% discount for AAA and AARP with proof of current membership (excluding Derby, St. James Court Art Show and special packages). Veterans and active duty military will receive a 10% discount with a valid military ID. Only one discount can be used at a time. The Dills are also planning special packages for holiday weekends in December and Valentine’s Day to attract both local and out-of-town guests who want to get away for a special weekend.
