 As a vibrant, growing community, Old Louisville's local events, concerts, tours and volunteer opportunities occur often. Check back regularly for the newest updates about how you can help Old Louisville one weekend at a time. 

CENTRAL PARK 
IMPROVEMENT DAY

Every Spring & Fall

Come help us take care of Central Park by improving it for the coming season. All work is light in nature, mainly weeding, mulching trimming, planting and general clean up. Coffee, donuts, and fruit is supplied to volunteers. 

OLD LOUISVILLE 
LIVE

Every Spring & Fall

We love bringing free concerts to Central Park every Spring and Fall. Volunteers are needed for light cleanup tasks after every event, or handing out literature. Great way to meet your neighbors and have fun. 

OLD LOUISVILLE
SPRINGFEST

Every May

Springfest is Old Louisville's biggest springtime festival and neighborhood market, and is always free and open to the general public. Springfest kicks off at 10 am and rocks, eats, and shops until 7 pm. Volunteers are always needed.

KENTUCKY SHAKESPEARE

Every Summer

Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park is the oldest outdoor Shakespeare Festival in the United States. Be part of the legacy. Volunteers help out with a variety of tasks.

CULTURAL PASS

Every Summer

With a cultural pass was created to encourage and promote summer learning loss by creating a learning experience through programming, activities, and education. Also by establishing a life-long relationship between Greater Louisville’s children and the art and cultural institutions and working to address barriers that may prohibit children from accessing the city’s art and cultural venues.

HIDDEN TREASURES
GARDEN TOUR

Every June

The Old Louisville Hidden Treasures Garden Tour welcomes garden lovers into the private green spaces of the nation’s largest Victorian residential neighborhood. Our gardeners share their personal retreats, tucked behind stately Victorian mansions and protected by vine-covered walls and privacy fences.Volunteers are always welcome and needed.

OLD LOU BREW 
CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL

Every August

Enjoy craft beer from local independent brewers at this Friday evening festival in Central Park. Live music on stage, food trucks, and games makes for a great night with friends. Volunteers are needed for set up, take down, and managing games. All volunteers receive free admission and one drink ticket.

CONRAD CALDWELL
HOUSE MUSEUM

Available All Year

Help the Conrad Caldwell House Museum by becoming a museum guide. Volunteer guides offer regular weekly tours, and help with  large group/bus tours or for special exhibits. 

ST JAMES COURT
ART SHOW

Every October

The St James Court Art Show volunteers play a vital role in the success of the Art Show. The primary goal of the  volunteers is to create an all around positive experience for our artists and art patrons.

GARVIN GATE
BLUES FESTIVAL

Every October

The Garvin Gate Blues Festival is a great two-day arts and music free street festival. Volunteers are very important to the success of this event. 

December  2 & 3, 2023

OLD LOUISVILLE
HOLIDAY HOME TOUR

The Old Louisville Holiday Home Tour is held the first full weekend of December. Tour mansions and townhouses decorated for the season, visit a gift boutique and enjoy an Evan Williams premium bourbon tasting with the admission. Volunteers will receive one free ticket to the event.
